Clubs/Activities
SIS has a long tradition of clubs and activities that allow students to stretch their abilities, promote community, and develop as leaders.
ADVANCED CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
String instrumentalists who are ready for a challenge can participate in this ensemble. Students will attend extra rehearsals in preparation for the WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival in March.

JAZZ ENSEMBLE
Any student who plays an instrument may participate. Rehearsals are once a week before school. The group performs at least twice a year, including the annual Swing With SEED fundraising event.

MATH TEAM
7th and 8th grade students meet at least every two weeks to cover new and interesting math topics in preparation for middle school math competitions. All students who are interested in math are welcome to attend.

YEARBOOK CLUB
Yearbook Club is a great opportunity for students to stretch and explore as photographers and designers. Student photographers will document a variety of events throughout the school year such as sports, school dances, assemblies, and field trips such as Winter Experience and Outdoor Experience. In the spring our Yearbook Club focuses on selecting and curating images to be used in the final publication made available for purchase to all students at SIS.
